Shameless Plug for Comments

Hello? Is this thing on?

Every once in a while my blog-esteem could use a little boost. This is one of those times.

I've been making a concerted effort to add new content to the site on a regular basis and lately its felt a bit like I'm shooting this stuff into the void. I'm just curious to know if someone other than my five loyal readers/commenters are visiting on a semi-regular basis. (Hey you five, you know who you are and I thank you, thank you, thank you!)

So do me a favor and de-lurk just long enough to tell me you're out there. Let me know where in the world you hail from too. I'm just curious.

Okay, pity party over. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

I read your blog faithfully every day; I'd like to add that you quoted me accurately re: Don Giovanni. (By the way, I think the scary simulcast is tonight. I look forward to a photo in the Trib tomorrow of parents fleeing the park with their children.)

Hey Kathryn,

Your blog is on my RSS feed into Google Reader (http://www.google.com/reader/). Now I keep up with a gajillion news, blogs, and flickr sites.

If you want more comments than you know what to do with, bring up the Democratic Primary.

Marie

I have you in Google Reader and read every post.

Helloo... testing... is this thing on? Sorry, my comment mike was turned off. I'll do Marie one better. Mention Battlestar Galactica and you bet you'll get some comments from moi. Keep on blogging, Kathryn.

Hi there...delurking and checking in from Dallas...constant reader! I think you have a whole bunch of happy readers out here in blog land. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and life.

I can't even claim to be a lurker as I have just found you through a comment you left on Random Jottings. I haven't even had a chance to read through your blog, but couldn't stand that you mention five regular commentors and your comments was at five. Now you can claim six. I'm going to peruse now and will hopefully find we have things in common. Hopefully, your lurkers will come out and play soon. Adieu.

I never miss yoour blog--and often return to it to research books, films, recipes, etc. It has changed my life more than the Bible!

I research books and movies here too, especially since we seem have such similar views on things.

I'm really sorry I haven't been by before now. Normally, I'm here faithfully. I don't have google reader, or any reader, set up but must do that. Having a blogging lull at this time but will get better at keeping up. In any case, yes I read!!! Even when I get here late, I read back :)

I'm de-lurking from New Jersey and, while I can't claim your blog has changed my life more than the Bible, I can confirm that you've inspired me to start my own Presidential Biography reading project--(currently finishing John Adams).
I'm a faithful reader and, like Carrie, if I miss a day or two, I always read back posts to catch up.

Hi Kathryn,
I read your blog every day, also. I suppose I could also say you changed my life. I started my blog because you got raja to start blogging. Did I ever tell you that before?

P.S.

I really enjoyed your write-ups on the Maude episodes. I don't suppose you've found any stations running reruns in the Chicago area?

Thanks for your comments one and all. It's been both gratifying and interesting to hear from you.

Shakespearecub--Did you like the way Charlie worked that Battlestar Galactica pitch in there? You're more likely to see a review of that on this here blog before you see any political talk. :) And regarding Maude, I don't think it's ever been in syndication.

Karen, Mike, Charlie, Alison, Raja and Carrie--Long time readers, many thanks!

Pat--Glad to "meet" you. Thanks for being a constant reader.

Stacey--Welcome! Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment. Hope to see you again.

Carolyn--Wow, I had no idea! What a nice surprise. I'm glad to hear my Presidential Bio Project inspired another. Let me know if you have any recommendations.

Ruthe--I didn't know! I'm honored to have sparked such well-written, thoughtful and inspirational blogs as yours and Raja's.

Thanks for commenting on my blog site. I'm just stopping by to say hello. And I'll put you on my list.

Best of luck with your comments.

Cas
